How to make an omelet that is perfect

Omelets are one of my favorite foods to eat at breakfast. But how do you make them perfectly? I have tried many different recipes and methods, but none of them work. So today, I want to share some tips and tricks with you so you can make your own delicious and fluffy omelets every morning.

First, eggs can be very temperamental ingredients for making omelets. It is important that eggs are fresh from an organic market and kept cool until used. They must be kept cool, otherwise the whites will not form properly and the yolks may become runny. This causes your omelets to look oddly colored. If you want to make omelets right away, it's best not to use eggs that are too cold.

Another tip is to separate the egg before adding it to the pan. The yolk and white should not be mixed together as this can cause the omelet's curdle.

The egg can burn if it is placed directly on the stovetop. Instead, heat the egg for 10 seconds in the microwave before placing it in the pan. The microwave heat is sufficient to cook the egg without overcooking.

Next, let's talk about mixing the eggs. When you mix eggs together, you want to beat them well. You can do this by turning the bowl of your mixer upside down. Next, shake the bowl vigorously. This allows the air to be whipped and the egg to be mixed thoroughly.

Now comes the fun part: adding the milk to your mixture. The first step is to pour half of the milk in the beaten eggs. Next, fold the eggs into the remaining milk. Do not worry if you see streaks of egg; they will disappear when the omelet is flipped.

After folding the eggs, place the pan on medium heat and wait for the oil to start sizzling. Once the oil starts getting hot, add 1/4 cup of butter to the pan and swirl it around to coat the entire surface of the pan. The lid should be carefully opened. Sprinkle salt in the pan. The salt will help to prevent the omelet's sticking to the pan.

Once the omelet forms, cover the pan again. Let the top side set completely. Use a spatula to flip the omelet or turn the pan upside-down. Cook the other side for about a minute. Take the omelet out of the pan and immediately serve.

This recipe works best using whole milk. Skimmed milk is also possible.
